The design of this tower is based on the Eiffel tower in Paris. Being 332 meters tall, it is about 8 meters higher than the Eiffel tower, but weighs about only half of it. It is the tallest man-made structure in Japan. It is painted in white and orange color because of air safety regulations. (They should paint the Eiffel tower in a bright color too, because that gray color is rather dirty)

Tokyo tower has 2 observation decks, one at 150m and one at 250m. There is no observation deck at the top like the Eiffel tower.

The Main observation deck at 150m, has interactive screens at all 4 direction that show information about the buildings you see. It also houses a gift shop, a small stage, a shrine and Cafe La Tour, a small bistro.
The Special observation deck is at 250m.

At the foot of the tower is also a large 4-story building with the elevators that go up but also houses many shops like souvenir shops, a large aquarium, restaurants, a wax museum and an amusement park on the roof.
