There seems to be something weird going on with the second season of Suzumiya Haruhi.
It seems that the previous "second season" is cancelled and a new "second season" is being created. Probably due to creative differences with the production team & director.
Kyoto Animation will still be animating the second season. The director will be Yasuhiro Takemoto, who also did "Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid", "Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu", "Lucky Star".

As in the previous anime project, the fictional "leader" of the new anime project is the character Suzumiya Haruhi herself. The "disappearance" of the official website was on December 18 at 4:00 a.m. (Japan Standard Time) and is a reference to the pivotal date in The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, the fourth volume in the light novel series. This might be an indication of which novel the second will be about.

This is the second release in her three consecutive singles-release, which will have a concept-style touch.

From the short clip of the PV, I like this song, but I need to hear more. The PV reminds me of PVs from Ayumi ;p
After hearing the full song, I think I only give it 3/5, it might need to grow on me, but I loved Love Gun from the first listen.

Hirano Aya - Neophilia [CD+DVD]

A Big update on Hirano Aya. After the release of her first photo book "Stairway to 20", she will now start a triple single release spread over 3 months. The first new single will be released on October 10th, while the next will be on November 7th and December 5th respectively.
The new single is called "Love★Gun" which will have a strong rock sound to it. B-side will be called Glitter. Also an extra CD+DVD edition with a DVD that contains the PV for the song.
