(I'm not going to post my diary in order, so you'll get my Comiket report first ;p)
Today, I went to Comiket 77 winter edition, the second day (December 30th 2009). When I was on the Yurikamome train to Odaiba around 9h30, it wasn't very busy. But since many people start lining up very early, as Comiket opens at 10h. I came out of the station and was already redirected far away from Tokyo Big Sight. When I reached the bridge, I wasn't shocked, more like impressed of the amount of people lining up. Imagine a line of 20-30 people wide (see the pictures ;p), and that goes for about half a mile maybe ;p. There were people from all ages and still lots of girls too. I'm guessing the third (hentai) day has more guys ;p. This queue was nothing like the queue of Tokyo Anime Fair last year, which was just 4 people wide and a bit less long. I arrived at the end of the queue at 9h55. Then at 10h, the queue started moving piece by piece. I arrived at the industry booths hall at exactly 11h! I think Comiket is very well organised.
Follow up:
The K-On bag that I wanted was still very much in stock so I was quite happy about it ;p. The industry booths always seem to have lots of stock and I think many people just come for the doujinshi. Also bought a bag with goodies from the new Fate/Stay Unlimited works, and lots of Black Lagoon stuff ;p (of which the third season OVA is coming out in 2010). Also went to check out the huge Doujinshi halls which are really packed with people, but I didn't buy anything though. Next up was the cosplay square, which had some really good cosplayers. I wish I could have spent a little more time to take pictures of more cosplayers, but I got some of the good ones.
Since it was winter, it wasn't too hot inside the halls. I guess the summer edition is much more exhausting. I left by 15h, before the actual end of the day at 16h, so the train wasn't too packed, considering the huge amount of people coming to Comiket (usually around 550.000 over the course of 3 days).
But now I'll let the pictures do the talking:

Still had some white to go to reach the end of the line!

One of the East halls (East 1-3) packed with people.

Some good Death Note cosplay (with 2 L's though ;p). When I heard them talk after I took their picture, they seemed quite excited about a foreigner having taken their picture ;p

The one on the right looks like Senjougahara from Bakemonogatari. The left one I don't know, might be a later character from Bakamonogatari (haven't seen everything yet).

Some awesome Bayenetta cosplay, they were having a group photo session which just ended before I could take more/better pictures.

This Haruhi cosplay was very cute, lots of photographers too.

Nice group of Macross Frontier cosplayers, which were also taking picture of themselves. They were also surprised of a foreigner taking pictures of them.

Shakugan no Shana with a melonpan ;p

Even the cosplayers who were handing out leaflets inside the halls were asked to pose for pictures. (I'm wondering if this was actually allowed, but since the rule of having to ask for picture first before taking one was respected, I guess it was ok).
