Seems like I got my Hatsune Miku nendoroid early :D It wasn't supposed to be available until the end of the month at the shop I pre-ordered it. So I was quite happy ;p It came in the same sized box as my other Nendoroid (Haruhi) and this one has number 33 on it. It has again 3 removable faces to use (one smiling, one laughing and one sad/confused face), this time it also has another front hairpiece. Next to that: another hand to hold the leek, one bent arm, one bent leg, removable head phones. And you can even remove her skirt ^^; (you can remove the legs and then remove the skirt ;p). And the big pony tails can be removed too (they are quite loose, so you have to be careful when posing). The plastic pedestal to hold her is actually quite high, she floats about 1.5 cm above the ground. Probably because of the long hair, but when I put Miku's head on the Haruhi body, the pig tails didn't really touch ground because of the pedestal. She looks bigger now, standing next to Haruhi ^^;

There's a new set of nendoroid petit from Lucky Star. It now also features other secondary characters like Kuroi-sensei, Yutaka, Minami & Hiyori.

Got my very first nendoroid figure of Suzumiya Haruhi this week and I just had to do a quick photo shoot. I'll give you a few pictures of this first shoot. Don't mind the background ;p. I will do a more decent one later, but I'm not sure if I'll have time to do it before my trip to Japan, so it'll be after that. But, Haruhi will join me to Japan, and will be featured in some picture there ^^;

There are 2 new variations on the previously mentioned Lucky Star nendoroid figures.
Konata Izumi Nekomimi version and Hiiragi Kagami bunny ears version ;p

Konata is so kawaii with neko ears ;p

Seems like they are finally going to appear. After a long series of Suzumiya Haruhi figures, the Lucky Star anime is next, which I recon will be along list as well.
Lucky Star starts off with 2 nendoroid figures (Konata Izumi & Hiiragi Kagami), and 2 more as unpainted preview (Akira-sama & Shiraishi Minoru). There also seem to be special Chara Ani versions of the first two. The release date for the first 2 figures is somewhere in January 2008, other info is unknown. Will definitely buy them! Nendoroids are so cute, but of course I also want a full size 1/8 figure of Konata ;p

Now some pictures of the other figures I did during my last photo shoot. This time I'm posting the pictures of Tokiha Mai. This is a 1/6 scale figure from Good Smile company. Tokiha Mai is the lead character of Mai Hime, and a secondary character in Mai Otome & Mai Otome Zwei.
I find the figure very well done, with nice pair of eyes and short skirt. The typical flock of hair at the front is done very well. Also, the big red scarf gives the figure a dynamic look.

Okay, my first real photo shoot of figures is done. It may not look very good, and my lightning conditions were crap, but I had to work with what I've got. The shots at the window should have been taken from the outside in stead of the inside... But I'll do them again later when I have more time.
I also took the opportunity to take pictures of my other (few) figures as well. I didn't have any decent pictures of them yet. I will post these in a few days.
These pictures where taken with a Canon Powershot A70, quite an older model but with many options for a point-and-shoot camera. I should get me some decent camera as I already have this one for more than 3 years, maybe I should get me a Canon EOS ;p

After half a year of waiting, and 1 month delay, my Suzumiya Haruhi 1/8 scale figure has finally arrived! I've taken some quick pictures for now, but I will be doing a photo shoot tomorrow or so :-)
I really like the expression on the face a lot, and the whole gesture perfectly shows Haruhis character. Love it ;p
