The sheets covering the new station building on the south side (Electric Town Exit) have just been removed showing the new building. The new building is called "Atre 1", probably meaning that the north side of the station will also get a new building called "Atre 2".
Atre is a range of department store built on top of train stations, mostly featuring restaurants.

I think it looks quite cool and it covers up the station very well. I hope those empty spots on the walls will get covered with anime and electronics ads ;p
It's due to open in winter 2010, so I'll probably get to see it finished when I'm there during the new year holidays :)

Together with the announced of the 49th single, also came the 50th anniversary single. And what a single it is! Finally after 7 years,we get a new single letter title AND a triple A-side single! The title is 'L'. As before,we don't actually know the meaning of these letters, but L is the roman numeral for 50, but this might be a coincidence. The single will be released only 1 week after the 49th single (which means she will have 2 singles on the Oricon charts in one week!).

Just announced, Ayumi Hamasaki's 49th single and 2nd single in the 3-single run for the 50th single anniversary has been dated for a September 22nd 2010 release! The title was already known for a few weeks,but now more details have been announced. There will be one CD+DVD version and two CD versions.
I find it strange that the only difference between the two CD version is only a remix track. Since the B-side of [crossroad] is not known yet,might this mean 2 different B-sides? But there is only one B-side on the CD+DVD version... We'll just have to see what she has in store for us ;)

I was glad to see that such a big and very good movie had some very recognizable scenes in Japan :-)

Personal opinion:
A science-fiction movie that keeps you on the tip of your chair, builds up slowly to a huge climax. It is VERY good, no wonder it got third place on IMDB top 250 in its first week. It will surely drop a little over time, but still quite an achievement!

Mistakes (intentional or not)
- there aren't many scenes in Japan,not much to get wrong

After I found out that Minori Chihara is coming to the New York Anime Festival. She would be signing and holding a small concert, so I just had to go there.
As an extra, NYAF are selling special VIP packages with first access to floor and events, and one special package for Minori, to have a guaranteed seat for the concert. Extra benefits are not separate entrance to the venue, so no waiting in lines. And a VIP lounge where you can put your stuff away safe, so you don't have to carry too much around. And this for 150$ for the whole weekend ^^ (regular weekend ticket is $50)
But they were limited to 200 people,sooo when the exact moment the VIP tickets came out,I refresh the ticket site,and I got my special Minori Chihara VIP ticket !!! Me happy ;p Now I can book my flight and hotel!

Other Japanese guests include Puffy AmiYumi and VAMPS. I'm guessing there will be more :) American voice actors don't interest my much as I don't like dubs :)
On the other hand, it's actually two conventions as New York Comic-Con is held at the same dates and the same convention center. So when I looked at that guest list, I saw that also some TV/movie actors are going to be present for signing. One of them is Christopher Judge, whom I know very well for playing Teal'c in Stargate SG-1. Some of the others are Katee Sackhoff (whom I just recently got to know from the last season of 24) & James Marsters (saw him in Dragonball movie,and apparently he's quite famous from Buffy too). But more guests will probably be added later as it's still early, I hope more japanese guests as well :)
Soo, I'm pretty excited! I will be in New York from friday afternoon till sunday afternoon.
