![]() New Album: Rock'n'Roll Circus |
Here's the result from my photo shoot form last Sunday. It features my 2 latest nendoroids (Nagato Yuki and Pastel Ink) and another nendoroid which I hadn't photographed yet (Asahina Mikuru) and the ones I already had (Suzumiya Haruhi and Hatsune Miku). I shot these pictures with my new camera, a Canon EOS 450D (my first DSLR, you can read more about that in a previous post). I always try to funny stuff and make a little bit of story out of my photo shoots with figures. And as nendoroid are very good for that because they are somewhat poseable and have several extra parts and faces to use. But of course, figmas are even better for that, but I haven't got any of those.
Here's a group pic before we begin:
(The next page has a lot of pictures but they are all quite small, they link to bigger pics though)
Today I bought my new photo camera, a Canon EOS 450D (also known as EOS Rebel XSi or EOS Kiss X2 in other parts of the world). It's the latest entry-level DSLR from Canon. Just bought it with the kit lens for now.
Been doing some testing now, before I'll do some real shooting tomorrow, which will be with my latest nendoroid figures as I mentioned in my earlier post. Here's a teaser for now ^^;

Just received my newest two nendoroids in the mail today.
Nagato Yuki and Pastel Ink. Both extremely cute!
I guess I'll have to do another photoshoot very soon, as I haven't done one with my previous nendoroid yet either (being Asahina Mikuru). So next time will be a big photoshoot with my 5 nendoroids ^^ (which may be with my new camera I'm going to buy)
It has now been officially confirmed by Yoshiki himself at a press conference at Yoyogi in Tokyo: X Japan will come to Paris on November 22nd to Bercy.
This was not the only anouncement:
- a countdown live in Tokyo this year
- a new release in the future with a harder sound (as Yoshiki now knows, Toshi can still scream like hell ^^)
- X Japan song on Rock Band 2
- in 2010 Yoshiki will be involved in a project of the 100th birthday of Akira Kurosawa

A week ago, the fourth Animelo Summer Live event was held at Saitama Super Arena. For the first time it was held over the course of 2 days. Animelo Summer Live is a concert that features many different artists who made songs for anime or games or songs from artists who are related to the anime industry. It was held on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st of August.
Each year has a theme, and this year it was "Challenge" and has an original song written for Animelo, called "Yells ~It's a Beautiful Life~", which features many of the featured artists.
One of the biggest figure making companies in Japan, Goodsmile has just launched their english website to reach a more international audience. Goodsmile Company releases their own figures and those of Max Factory. They are also the creators of the very cute nendoroid figures and the poseable figmas.
You can find this new website at: eng.goodsmile.info. The Japanese version will be released later on.

The website runs on the newest version of a platform written by Danny Choo (& team), who is a big figure enthusiast and already has his own website which is dedicated to figures, mecha, anime, idols, japanese society & SEO. He is also known as the Tokyo Trooper who goes around Tokyo walking and dancing in his Star Wars Storm Trooper outfit. The RSS feed of his website has been on my blog here for some time now and you can find him at www.dannychoo.com.
